Famous Pakistani actor Masood Akhtar lost his life while battling cancer.
According to family sources, Masood Akhtar had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore for the last 36 days due to ill health. Some time ago, he was diagnosed with lung cancer but today he met his real creator during the treatment.
According to family sources, Asr prayers will be offered at Usman Block, Gulshan-e-Ravi after the funeral prayers of the deceased.
Masood Akhtar was born in Sahiwal on September 5, 1940. He started his artistic career in the 60s and soon became one of the famous stage actors.

Masood Akhtar has made a significant contribution to the ‘art of acting by starring in a number of films, TV dramas, and theater productions.
One of his early plays, Money Speaks, was performed in Al-Hamra in the 1970s and gained him immense popularity.
Masood Akhtar has acted as a villain in many films. He was awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence by the Government of Pakistan on August 14, 2005.
