Inflation in the UK is at its highest level in three decades this year. The rate was 5.4 percent in December, with wages falling and food and electricity prices rising. As a result, people may have difficulty accessing food.
The Colchester Food Bank in the east of England distributed 165 tonnes of food last year, enough for 17,000 people. However, Mike Beckett, the food bank's manager for 2022, says that this time around, they may have to distribute food to more people.
